My Vero 4K don't boot

Hello

From 3 days ago, my Vero 4K suddenly didn’t Boot.
I bought it on november 2017.
I tried to unplugged and re plugged without succes (direct electric connection or indirect connection is the same).
The cross lighting in the front keep red (with a slow glittering like a wave ) and nothing appear on my screan TV.

So, I’m sorry but I can’t sent you any print screen or event log extract.

We are so disappointed because we use it almost every day with my familly.
So :

  • Could I sent to you to make a checking ?
  • How much it will be for a complete checking ?
  • And how much will be transport cost for return to Switzerland form you location ?

Or maybe you have special price for 4K+ for your long hold customers

Thanks for your help

Best regards

Hi

Try powering it with another 5V, 2A power supply or a USB cable connected to a laptop or PC.

Sam

PS: A detail but… : I have a back up from around 1 month…

Whouaouu !
Sam you’re always more fast to answer !
Amazinng !
That’s service !

In short: the device is likely fine and the power supply just needs replacing

I must use an USB wire with 2 A connection To connect to laptop, is exact ?

Yes

It doesn’t need to be 2A, a standard USB 2.0 port should be fine just for booting to verify it works.

Sorry I think I’m not clear : I need to use a usb cable with 2 ports A and not 1 port A + mini port A.
I don’t have cable with 2 port A yet.

So I tried to cinnect my Vero 4K with my laptop like below

USB C from laptop to USB A of Vero 4K.

And nothing happens .

I did right ?

Hi,

I suggest trying powering with alternative PSU (5V, 2A) or you can use a USB A to A.

Thanks Tom.

please could you detailled how I must connect with USB : between what and what.

Thank you a lot

Hi,

With A to A usb cable, you can power the vero4k via one the USB ports on the vero4k its self and powered usb hub; if thats not possible via a usb port on a PC. This is not a permanent solution, it will just help confirm if the PSU has failed.

Thanks Tom.

USB-C to USB-A won’t work.

Thank you Tom and Sam for your explanantions.

I will buy the good cable and i’ll try soon.

We keep in touch

Thanks a lot

Hello

So I followed your advice: I bought a 5V / 2.5 A charger in a second-hand store and it’s off for a ride!

Thank you again for your help and your promptness in responding! Once again !

Best regards

I’m glad to hear this has solved your issue
