NBC Sports Live Extra error - unable to watch content

I’ve installed the official NBC Sports Live Extra Kodi Add-on and am trying to set it up to watch the Olympics.

Errors are preventing me from watching anything with it. When I go to “featured” or “Live”, I see “NBC Sports Live Extra error. Check the log for more information.”

This part seems relevant. Not sure what to do about it.

Error Contents: HTTPConnectionPool(host=‘api-leap.nbcsports.com’, port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: /feeds/featured?application=NBCSports&sections=nbc-sports&format=v1&platform=android&compat=true (Caused by NameResolutionError(“<urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0xd3c37670>: Failed to resolve ‘api-leap.nbcsports.com’ ([Errno -2] Name or service not known)”))

Is there a resolution to this or another add-on that will work and allow me to watch Olympics coverage on Kodi?

As api-leap.nbcsports.com is not resolvable the assumption would be that NBC updated their API and that the addon needs to be update.
As you already posted in the respective forum your only hope is that the maintainer is still working on the addon and would be able to update it for the latest NBC changes.
But I would not put the biggest hopes on it.
