New version of Waipu.tv PVR Client

Hello!

Could anybody create a zip file of the new version of the Waipu.TV PVR Client for Vero V?

In the one the Vero provides the EPG doesnt work anymore (Waipu changed something) , but there is an uptdate on github.

I am no programmer and havent the slightest idea how to do that

Many greetings and thanks!!

There will be an update to Kodi v21.2 soon. You could wait for that

Sam

OK, then I’ll wait a little longer

Thanks for the response!

Hello guys, just installed the new OSMC version but the WAIPU PVR-Client is still on Version 21.9.1 and no update is available.

The problem with this old version is, that the EPG doesnt work anymore. The newer versions solved this.

Anybody got an idea?

Thanks!

I believe we built the latest version for Omega. Are you sure that newer versions aren’t only for v22?

I’m so sorry, I complained too soon.

The version in the new OSMC update is probably really up to date, I just had to delete the EPG cache in the Kodi PVR settings. All data was then re-downloaded and all programs are now displayed correctly again.

Big apologies again, I was too hasty in my complaint.

Not a problem. I was just puzzled how we wouldn’t be shipping the latest version with 21.2
I am glad it’s solved now.

On Github, the latest version shown for Waipu is 22.3.1, so I thought the version wasn’t up to date.

But i am really a noob :see_no_evil:

Waipu is currently changing their API very often. The developer of the waipu addon (flubshi) does a good job in quickly providing new addon versions for this API changes.

Unfortunately the addon in OSMC is only updated in OSMC´s major releases.

Is there any other way to update this addon more often in OSMC? Or can anyone provide actual builds of the addon for updating manually within OSMC?

For reference see Rücksprung zum Anfang funktioniert mehr · Issue #398 · flubshi/pvr.waipu · GitHub

I’ll think about this and get back to you.

Do you have an opinion regarding this issue already?

You would need to build it from source or wait for OSMC releases. It’s unclear to me why they would change their API so frequently as this must be breaking a lot of clients
