Since using my Panasonic UHD tv I have frequent freezes when trying to play UHD MKV files after watching live tv or Amazon Prime. The screen goes black and no sound is heard, it will remain like this until I double press Stop, it then shows the Movies list again. If I play an HD file then all is ok. The only way I can restore it is to remove the power plug, it then reboots and plays UHD fine. I made a log the last time it did this here is the link

The signal is routed through a Denon x2600 to HDMI2 ARC on the Panny, I never had this problem with my Sharp UHD tv.
Thanks for the report. Your log is difficult to read as it’s over 4 days long with a time shift in the middle. Could you please re-boot, reproduce the issue and post logs again.
Thanks, I turned logging on for just the duration of the fault, the other days must be logged automatically, the fault is at the start of the log, I will have to wait for it to happen again to post another log
OK, please tell us what you were playing from live TV/Prime then which UHD file so we can find those.
At my age I could not tell you what I had for breakfast this morning, its all at 22/01/2021 21:05, anything after that is not my logging
In your log I see this:

Two minutes where nothing is happening - suggests a problem with your network/ file server. I think it’s unlikely the change in TV has caused any issues or indeed the order in which you play different file formats.
Some checks with iperf may show up if your network is running as well as it should.
Thank you, that would be about correct, 2 mins was all I left it for before pressing Stop twice. I was trying to play the file from an attached HDD via USB, no network involved. The problem seems to be with CRenderManager, what would cause that to stall?
I guess CRenderManager is just not receiving any frames to process and I can’t say what’s causing that. Debug logging was not on for that video.
On 27/1/21 10:34:36 you did have debug logging on and there’s a lot of noise from your weather addon when you try to play Perfect Planet. You might try disabling that addon.
Thanks, Graham, I reset the weather to default then made another log, here https://paste.osmc.tv/ukikiveyed
I played “Volcano”, or I tried to it just gave the black screen and no sound
