Hi - since the last update, would be on Thurs, any E-AC3, TrueHD and DTSHd doesn’t work - this worked fin3 prior to the upload. Also after I turn off the TV, I guess the 4k hibernates, when I next turn off the TV, only way to get the unit to respond is to physically uplug it… logs are https://paste.osmc.tv/ihopejuhib
Hi,
I suggest setting the gui resolution to 1080p and let you tv upscale.
Are you trying to use passthrough for these? As all three are currently disabled.
Thanks Tom.
Tom
Hi, I disabled them otherwise I get no audio - I enabled debug logging, rebooted, played a movie, rebooted and disabled. I’ll try the 1080p, but it worked in prior release .
Hi,
According to the log, it doesn’t look like its your avr/tv is advertising support for these codecs? What is the make and model of the TV or AVR for sound output?
Thanks Tom.
I don’t see any evidence of a AVR in your logs. If you have one, was it turned on?
Hi - my setup is Vero 4k -> TV -> arc to Soundbar. This has been the setup since day 1 when I bought the 4k.
Turning the UI to 1080p has solved the waking up issue.
Unless you have EARC, you won’t get HD audio passed through to the soundbar.
Graham - thanks, turns out that the TV doesn’t do EARC. So plugged it into the Soundbar directly and it is working. Not sure how on earth I believed it was working when clearly it was not possible, maybe I just disabled it and gave up and now fiddling with it made the problem re-appear.
Anyway, thank you all for your help, much appreciated, problem has been resolved.
