No mp4 file in the tv shows directory?

so I wanted to increase the reliability of kids shows for the kids, we always used streaming. I got a few episodes and ftp’d them over to the box, into the tv directory. it sees the folder i created, but no files. Am I missing an obvious crucial step? I tried rebooting (which fixed the folder viewing), but still no files. They are in mp4 format.

nevermind. i just had to understand how it worked. so in reality, i had to just hit enter, as i was trying to see the files, when it was just looking for a directory. I’m thinking like windows in a linux world. Mistake #1!
