Hello!
I have the Vero 4k+. I wanted to connect to my Wifi but no networks are found at all. There are actually 6+ networks near me. I updated using the installer USB method, but nothing. I tried to install an older version, connected a LAN cable and updated that way. Still no Wifi networks shown.
I also tried pretty much everything I found here regarding Wifi problems, but nothing helped.
Here is a log: https://paste.osmc.tv/hapoperada
This is driving me crazy. For the last 2 days I tried all the things I found here, so I hope you guys can help me!
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
If you disable tethering in MyOSMC, can you see any wifi networks then?
Regards Tom.
I cannot disable it. Either “Ethernet to WiFi” or “Wifi to Ethernet” has to be enabled. I cannot select deactivate
Hi,
if you login via ssh (user osmc, default password is osmc), please, show us the ouput of

If a reinstall failed, it could be a hardware issue.
When did you last connect to WiFi on the device?
No, reinstall didn’t fail. I just tried all the versions available from the installer (all from 2024). What didn’t work was Wifi after reinstalling. The process itself was flawless.
I last used the Vero 4k+ in 2020 so thats when it was last connected to Wifi.
Sorry, I meant that if a reinstall failed to resolve the problem, it could be a hardware issue.
Your log shows that the WiFi adapter is crashing, which suggests it could be problematic. I would also suggest trying another 5V 2A power supply or powering via USB to rule out that issue.
Many thanks
Sam
Another power supply didn’t change anything. I tried powering via USB but that didn’t work as the Vero 4k+ wouldn’t turn on that way.
Did you definitely use a USB-A to USB-A cable?
Yes I did, but I found another cable and it powered on with this one. Regardless the problem with the Wifi persists.
Unfortunately it sounds like the module has indeed then failed. You could send this back to us to look at, but I can’t guarantee we could fix it given the period of time elapsed.
