Just recently I have found I’m not getting sound on some new TV episodes and some movies on the Vero but if I put the HDD in the Digitech and play the files I don’t get sound on I have sound without problem. Could this be because the Vero is not up to date with some codecs? I can get sound on these files on my PC which has all the latest codecs so I’m wondering.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

reproduce the issue

upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the
Log Uploader
method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or thessh
method invoking commandgrab-logs -A

You probably won’t believe this but as I was about to follow your enable logging setup I selected the movie I was having problems with and hit play and suddenly I had sound so I’m not sure what’s going on but I printed out the instructions you emailed and have put them away for future reference just in case this happens again.
