I am having trouble when checking for updates ,says it failed to install.
Have uploaded the log using the built in tool
From your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
deb http://download.omsc.tv/dev/gmc-18 gmc-18 main
Look carefully… 
I also think that the nightly builds are no longer available.
Nightlies have moved to another repo in order to avoid the confusion when stable is released. If you want to stay running the nightlies please read the first post:
