Boot up osmc to kodi I get a “AutoExec.py” prompt followed by several “working” seconds then “AutoExec.py enabled”. I get the sad face followed by another reboot with the same. This may happen 3 or 4 times before I get Kodi. Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Well I assume you must have something installed that tries to autostart something.
Suggest you provide debug enable logs see here for details.

Also provide output of cat /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/autoexec.py | paste-log
I uploaded log files I hope. There were two non start events and 3rd success to kodi. Am a little confused how to screenshot these events for you in my osmc (confluence)
