OSMC for MAC OS 10.10.2 unable to unzip error

I am a newbie and have downloaded the new OSMC for mac successfully but it will not allow me to extract the file I get an error code that states that its not an apple app. I am using OS Yosemite ver. 10.10.2.
Need help on how to install OSMC on my Scan-disk for my PI2.

When you download the Mac OSMC installer, the .dmg file should open automatically to a new window.

If not just double click it.
Then drag the qt_installer.app into the Applications folder.
Right click this app from within the Applications folder and select Open.

If that does not work then

OSX > System > Preferences > Security & Privacy > Allow apps downloaded from: > Mac App Store and identified developers > Select (You may have to unlock the padlock first)

Thank you for the info but I still get the following error “qt_host_installer.app” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
