Just noticed that if select the ‘use local build’ option in the OSMC installer you can use it to install the final build of raspbmc on a raspberry pi
That’s because all the image file is is a gziped disk image. You can also unzip the image and write it to disk using dd or win32diskimager.
You’ll find that the network configuration functions (pre-configuring Ethernet/Wifi settings) won’t work though using the OSMC installer as they are not stored in the same format.
