OSMC Installer Log File issue

Hi there, I’m trying to download OSMC to an sd card. I can download the installer but just as it is finishing I get the message “an error occured while writing the image. Please consult the log file”. Any help anyone could offer I would be very grateful for.

Check that your SD card or MicroSD adaptor switch has not flicked into the write protect position.

The switch on the left side should be towards the PC you are inserting it into.

Also, what size SD card is it ?

Same here 2 days ago, “An error occured…” but I couldn’t find the log file. Thought it was the SD card(just 2 gb) but i tried with another (2gb aswell) and got the same problem.

Might be that they are to small, but i managed to write the 2015-11-1 on them before. And since it wasn’t overwritten it still had the installed OSMC on it, so i could try my “dabbleing with an Arora and VNC-client installer”

Edit: wasn’t write protected, use two diffrent adapters too

Thats the error message i get in log file, and i got no other windows/applications open.

If it’s in use by another process, then it’s in use by another process…

Probably an AV scanner is getting in the way.

disabled the AV and tried again:

Still code 32, Cant acces file since it’s used by another process

will even try windows safe mode to ensure that it’s not windows

Edit: safe mode worked, must be something in my system other then the AV that open a connection to the sd card.

I had the same issue. I think it is the installer not releasing the .img file from previous install.
Had to go to C:\Users\“User” and delete all the OSMC files and then it worked.

Deleting the OSMC files from C:\Users\“User” worked for me also! Thank you.
