Osmc on pi 2 freezes when browsing Parameters>System

Hello,

I do not know anywhere else where I can ask for support.

I had the latest version of osmc installed on pi 2 booting on SD card working well for a couple of years until a power outage occurred this Monday that seemed to have corrupted the sd card.

As when I tried to reboot, the pi green led was flashing 4 times Times (meaning that the start.elf was not launched

3 flashes: start.elf not found
4 flashes: start.elf not launched
7 flashes: kernel.img not found
8 flashes: SDRAM not recognised. You need newer bootcode.bin/start.elf firmware.

If start.elf won't launch, it may be corrupt.

Note that 4-flashes may point to a defective SD-card holder, if one or more of the data contacts is intermittent it can lead to this problem.

According to the following technical information, I have formatted the SD card and installed a fresh image of osmc.

At this point, during the boot I had random pi warning mentioning under voltage detected. Hence it seemed that the PSU or the usb cable was faulty. I’ve changed both with a fresh set. I’ve even measured the voltage after the micro USB input on the pi after the change of PSU and cable. The voltage is fine 5.0V and no more warnings

Unfortunately, troubles occurred when browsing this fresh installation of osmc in the parameters>system the video display hangs for a couple of seconds, it seems that no keyboard nor mouse entry can be considered. It is repeatable on my settings.
For the sake of the test, I’ve kept the hdmi output and a Bluetooth keyboard as connected peripherals.

I’ve tried to check in Kodi log for errors or indications of the freezing but no luck so far.

Could you provide support please? As I cannot say if it is an HW related issue (pi or SD card) or Os issue

No need to format the card, as OSMC takes care of the filesystem implementation for you.

Your log isn’t showing any OSMC issues and this isn’t an issue we’ve had a report about. I would check your hardware.

Thanks for the feedback.
