Using an hdmi to vga converter with a headphone output for sound, there is no sound on a cold boot. Sound can be restored by rebooting or by finding the Audio Output settings and changing it from HDMI to HDMI Plus Analog. The setting can be returned to HDMI and the sound continues.
This appears to be fixed in RC2.
I spoke too soon. Not sure why I thought it was fixed but it still happens with RC2.
