USB3 can cause issues with 2.4Ghz wireless devices.
USB 3 has high speed communication that can bleed off of cables, connectors, and devices themselves as a radio wave that interferes in the range this is used by these remotes as well as Bluetooth and wifi. You may be able to use the USB 3 port without this issue by either using a hub or USB extension cable to physically move the dongle father away from the USB 3 device or alternatively change the physical location of the USB 3 device and/or replace the USB cable that it is attached with to one that is higher quality, perhaps shielded.

Make sense. USB 2 works for now. I’m eventually swapping that Pi out with an actual server which will also remove the external drive.
