OSMC remote stops working (4K+)

It started about one week ago, the remote stops working then after 10min it works for another 5min. I replaced the battery (twice), tried the repairing I read on the forum. Sometimes it works for 10min than its gone again.

Atm it does nothing. I see this in DMESG:

I see the blue light on the remote so that is working fine,

Try the dongle in a different USB port to rule out an issue with the USB port on the Vero itself.
If you still have no joy, send me an email to support@osmc.tv with a link to this post; your order number and I’ll send you a new dongle.

When you get the new dongle, you’ll need to pair it with the remote.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I tried it in the other port, its same effect, it worked when I plugged it in for about 1min…

I tried it in my pc and it worked right off the bat.

So I cant really pinpoint if its the receiver or the usb-host.

Also for the time being I want to use the remote in IR mode. How do I set this up? I selected the ‘osmc-lirc’ remote in the options but it also does nothing. Weird.

Otherwise I guess ill have to use a kodi remote on my phone.

Ill contact sales!

The remote is RF only; not IR
