I recently bought the osmc rf remote and it worked great for a couple of days. Now osmc no longer respond to anything clicked on the remote. I tried removing and replacing the battery but no go. Tried moving the USB connection around and I see the osmc see the USB dongle but still nothing from the remote. Is there any other suggestions to try.
Thanks.

Hi
Do you see a blue LED flash when you press a button on the remote? It should be visible from the window of the remote.
Have you tried another battery as well?
Sam
I do not see a blue led when clicking buttons. I did try another battery, however it is 5 years old but it was new in the package. I don’t have anything else that uses that battery size to test the battery. I will get a new battery tomorrow. Is there references in the log to validate a connection from the remote?
I’m using a raspberry pi 2. I’m having no issues with osmc other than the rf remote not working. I did not notice the blue led when it was looking but I wasn’t looking at the window at that time.
Thank you for the response
If you are seeing no blue LED from the front window of the remote when pressing buttons, then the first step is to find a known good battery. Log output is irrelevant until the remote is proven to work with a known good (new, not 5yrs old, can be assumed known good) battery.
Fresh batteries and still no blue led and no function on osmc. Looks like the remote is bad. Ugh! It worked great for two days.
We best get you a new one then.
