I’m using Widgets to show on the main page, but it only shows the movie poster. Is there a way to show the description of the movie when using Widgets on the main page? When I highlight a movie, I’d like to see the description.
Skin specific questions, apart from the OSMC skin (who’s dev monitors this forum), would be addressed on Kodi’s forum which usually has a thread dedicated for them, or to the github page that most, if not all, skins have. Kodi has some ability for a user to tweak widgets in the UI, but from what I recall seeing those were pretty much limited to tweaking categories and filters. I’m pretty sure adding descriptions on the home page is either something that Kodi doesn’t support with widgets, or else something a skin dev would need to add.
As an aside, I would suggest that perhaps adding plots to the home page would actually not be a great idea as it would clutter things up and allow less room for displaying in progress and new content. It isn’t such a burden IMO to have to press the information button on the remote to view full information for a widget item. In addition one could always just go into a widget view (I’m assuming that skin has one, don’t know, not familiar with it) which would show that category of widget but in a regular library view which someone can just use the view options in the sidebar to choose a view that show the plot for each item as they scroll through a list.
