OSMC Skin font size (Kodi 17)

I think I wasn’t clear enough, I was talking about the frames per second. I wish the progress icons in OSMC were more smooth (something like this).

OK, that makes more sense

How smooth the ‘busy’ animation is will vary by device. On a rpi1 or an Apple TV, we purposefully limit the framerate. On a pi3, though we don’t limit the framerate, it will still appear a little ‘jerky’. On a Vero4K, the animation appears silky smooth.

This is because drawing the animation actually takes a significant amount of processing power, and we’d prefer Kodi to be concentrating on doing whatever you’ve asked it to do (whether that’s start media playing, loading a particular window, or whatever) than drawing the busy animation. Whilst it may feel like the device is running slowly, actually by doing it this way whatever action you’ve requested will happen quicker than if we asked Kodi to dedicate more time to drawing the animation.
