One small issue concerning the osmc skin.
Is it possible to keep skin shortcuts enabled?
It is marked as orphaned, after removing an add-on skin shortcuts is also removed. After reboot the osmc skin is back to default…
Not sure I follow. The skinshortcuts script is being maintained and it should be available via the Kodi repo.
What do you mean by orphaned? 
It is available, that is not the problem.
When you look under system - add-ons - manage dependencies you will see that skin shortcuts is marked as orphaned…
That is the list of addons that were automatically pulled in as dependencies of other addons. “Orphaned” means that none of the currently installed addons are dependent on it, which allows you to clean out old addons that are nothing uses anymore.
But for adapting the osmc skin you need skin shortcuts, you can reinstall is not such a problem, but it is a bit annoying that the skin goes back to default when an add-on is uninstalled… I guess I have to live with it…
I can add it to the skin as an optional dependency. It’s technically not needed, but I honestly wasn’t aware of this consequence. Will check this out next week
