OSMC Update Error [2017.12-1]

I have 2 Raspberry Pi model Bs that will not update as of this morning. They both received a message that says “Error installing: Please report this on the OSMC forum.”

From SSH I attempted to manually update and this is what I received:
E: Failed to fetch http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/dists/stretch/main/binary-armhf/Packages.xz Hash Sum mismatch

I attempted to run:
wget http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian.public.key -O - | sudo apt-key add -

But this did not resolve the issue for me. It does not impact my Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 devices only 1st gen.

It’s probably a mirror issue. Waiting a while usually fixes the problem.

Only RBP0/1 use Raspbian repositories; which is why you only experience the issue on these devices

Thank you for the feed back. It’s 4 hours which is why I’ve reported it. Originally assumed the repository was updating. I will continue to wait.

Unfortunately it’s not a repository we control; but I am sure they are aware of the situation if there is a problem.

Is there an owner that I can reach out to?

Try using a different mirror for now. RaspbianMirrors - Raspbian

The repository has been updated. Please mark this as resolved.
