OSMC wired ethernet interface disappeared (Problem 2)

Setup:

I have a working Raspberry Pi Model 3 (B+ ?) successfully running. The main role of this machine is as a samba file server but I want to be able to use it as a kodi media player connected using wired ethernet.

I can’t display output via HDMI (more detail below) so currently working using ssh and command line to enter commands and changes.

/usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin -v : Kodi Media Center 21.1

When an ethernet patch cable is connected between the router and the RPi3 the Rpi ethernet LED flashes green.

Problem

I am sure I changed something quite sometime ago on this machine, but I can’t remember what.
I don’t want to rebuild this machine as the lvm and file server part is working fine.

I cannot activate or even “see” the wired ethernet interface so the RPI3 is connecting to the network using wifi. This works, in that I can remotely access the files on the Rpi, but I would prefer to use a wire as the RPI3 is sitting right next to the router.

Issuing ifconfig over ssh to the RPi3 I see

lo: flags=73<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING> mtu 65536
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 255.0.0.0

etc. etc.

wlan0: flags=-28605<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,DYNAMIC> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.1.207 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.1.255

etc. etc.

Any idea how I make the wired ethernet port visible, active at power-up/boot and take preference over the wifi to transport network traffic?

Log file shared via Google as do not have access to OSMC pastebin because of display issue:

I’d suggest reinstalling OSMC.
Not going to download a link from Google Drive.
