OSMC With Bluetooth Streaming from Android Phone

Hey, guys, long time lurker and fan of OSMC.

I am looking to stream music from my Nexus 6P to my RPi3 with OSMC. I saw that this feature was being worked on some time ago here: https://osmc.tv/2016/02/osmc-is-developing-bluetooth-streaming-capabilities/ as well as here: https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/testing-bluetooth-audio-streaming-a2dp/9116

I was wondering how to enable this feature. I tried pairing to my phone, but there’s no option to see it as a media device. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hi, We’d like to add Bluetooth audio streaming to the App Store shortly, but first we’d like to get some feedback and testing done. Make sure your system is fully up to date, and then run the following commands: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install a2dp-app-osmc Note: Pairing is sometimes problematic. This is being worked on. If you experience stutters or dropouts, it may be your dongle. I personally experienced this with a couple of Bluetooth dongles and had better luck with other one…

@fzinken, thank you for your response. The only reason I asked before trying the method out was that thread was started over a year ago. I’ll give this a shot and report back.
