I bought a D-Link DWA-131 rev B1 after looking online and seeing it was recommended as a good dongle to use with the Pi.
My Pi is a fresh install of OSMC and when I plug the dongle in it is just not recognised.
I do not seem to be able to get it working. Has anyone managed to get it working and if so, any and all instructions and tips appreciated.
Making the initial installation with the dongle connected would be the easy way to get this running, barring a driver issue that, if present, should be resolved in next build.
I tried that and it didn’t work.
If I do a lsusb after getting the usbutils it lists the device but when I do an ifconfig it doesn’t list it there.
I dont think its picking it up.
The D-Link DWA-131 is based on a Realtek 8192SU. The drivers for Realtek based WIFI cards have been really problematic, but Sam has been trying to fix it and it should work better in next release.
