OSMC's Christmas update is here

We're happy to announce OSMC's Christmas update is here. These changes come in light as Kodi Jarvis (v16) is near the end of its life and is very stable. We have been working on preparing OSMC for Kodi Krypton (v17) and test builds are now available. We will continue to

Thanks for the great work on OSMC and especially for the Vero 2. I never felt so good spending money on tech. It is exactly what we needed and what we use every day!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year

That’s wonderful to hear.

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too!

Thanks for all the good work and good time it provides, great product and forum.

Merry Christmas to the team and all users

Sam,

Big thanks from me too. Been using Vero2 for the last month.
And it’s brilliant…!

Money well spent, and a great investment. … a huge improvement on the Pi.

Many thanks for all your great work!

Happy Christmas.
Best regards,
Niall.

I apologize if this was posted somewhere else, but is this still relevant to the latest build? “Temporarily removed peripheral.joystick due to build error”

I usually follow this thread for updates: OSMC test builds for Krypton 17 (continued)

That’s referring to v17/v18 builds

Our update ships the current stable build of Kodi which is v16.

HDMI CEC is no longer working for me

Frustrated I updated to v17 and CEC still doesn’t work.

I’m using a raspberry pi 2 and a Yamaha RX-V375. Not really sure if it’s the update or very coincidental timing…

We haven’t changed anything to do with CEC in this update, and we haven’t pushed any Kodi v17 build.

You don’t name the device you’re using or provide a log so we can’t help much, but I would suggest powering off your TV for ten minutes at the wall with your device and then powering up again

Hi

samba is not working by me since update, can you help me?

thank you

Updated OSMC (Kitchen Pi2)
Streaming Live TV (TVHeadend) Audio over Bluetooth 24/7.

Everything working very well after the update.
BT streaming seems to be more reliable.
Using it everyday, and it ‘just works’

Thanks @sam_nazarko and team.

Best regards,
Niall.
