Hi,
Can you see the controller if you issue:
hcitool scan
If so try:
hciconfig hci0 reset
And reissue the above commands
Thanks Tom.

Hi,
Are you running libreelec on a pi3?
Just want to rule out a difference in hardware.
Thanks Tom.
yes all i did was install osmc on a different sd card.
Hi,
I believe libreelec is running later bluetooth libraries than osmc atm, there is a plan to update to stretch later this month; which will bring more up to date libraries. I suggest trying again once the update to stretch has been completed.
Thanks Tom.
Don’t we have quite a few PS3 controller users on OSMC?
I remember someone PRing specific patches for improved BT support with the PS3 controller.
Anyone got one spare to have a go?
bluez is overdue an update anyway
Cheers
maybe that’s why i also can’t use it on rasplex either.
As far as I read this you are trying to pair your Bluetooth dongle with itself. Controller in this context means your Bluetooth dongle.
B8:27:EB:9E:DC:BF is the master address for my ps3 controller.
Well if you say so, for me the output of bluetoothctl indicates its the address of your bluetooth dongle
Also take a look here

In bluetoothctl Controller is the dongle, Your PS3 controller would be a device
it is, i have a program called sixaxispairtool on my computer that outputs it.
i also don’t have a bluetooth dongle, i’m using the pi3.
Which is your dongle/controller and as you can see in the page I linked that MAC is from Raspberry
well like i said i know that B8:27:EB:9E:DC:BF is what my ps3 controller is set at.
Bring up an old topic but I’m trying to pair a PS3 controller via bluetooth to a Vero 4K - can’t seem to do it so any help appreciated.
