I own a Pi2 and a Pi3. I have had limited success in getting them to run properly. I am computer literate, having worked in the industry for over 30 years. I think my problems revolve around corrupted SC cards, possibly caused by improper shut down. From what I read, I am not the only one having the same problem. I’m surprised that Pi.org hasn’t come up with a better way of turning off their systems.
