Permission error on Transmission and RaspberryPi2 on external HDD

hey guys

I’m having trouble with my instalation of transmission…

I’ve configured transmisson to donwload files to a external HDD I’ve got connected to my raspberryPi2 ("/media/Elements/pi/Downloads") I’ve already changed the permission for the folder, hell I did it for the entire Elements HDD and I still get the same error:

Error: No data found! Ensure your drives are connected or use “Set Location”. To re-download, remove the torrent and re-add it.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

[Solved] Can't get around "Permission Denied" in Transmission

[image] I am running latest OSMC on Raspberry Pi 2. My folder permissions look as you can see above. I have a NTFS volume on a hard drive attached to the Pi 2 via USB. I tried everything I could think of and I am still running into Permission Denied errors. I edited the config file and the USER is set to osmc. I also tried user=root, no luck. What am I doing wrong here?

hi man how did you configure or change your default sd download location to external usb? i am using the transmission app from store and cant figure out how to change it, i used the web interface to change it to /media/myhdd/folder but get some permission error
