Vero implements the logic that Kodi has with only some small adjustments (eg better handling of 3D modes). This logic has received many screensful of debate among Kodi devs and us. We have kept close to the way Kodi does it so that users have a similar experience on different platforms although many Vero users have asked for changes. You can read all about how it works and why it matters here [HowTo] Guide to the Kodi whitelist function and related settings
In summary, the default whitelist (ie if no resolutions are added) includes the GUI resolution and all ‘bigger’ resolutions so that 4k works OOTB but SDTV (eg) is upscaled to GUI resolution if the GUI is set to 1080p.
Sure is! At the moment we can’t nail what changed between March and August that might have affected this. All I know is if the received signal is at all poor you get that blocking. But you say your recordings are OK? I don’t have line of sight and reception is marginal in certain weather conditions so I’m quite sensitive to this. But I’ve not noticed a deterioration since August.
A thought: if recording is OK, can you try recording and playing back the recording while a show is on (aka timeshifted). If that works, then perhaps we can rule out a poor signal. Sam’s suggestion might also rule out a poor signal.
