Player freezes whilst seeking a long stream

I’ve had OSMC running happily on an RPi 3 for a year or so now.

Recently, I’ve downloaded the Eurosport Player addon, to watch (legit) Eurosport streams direct through kodi using my subscription. It works fine for most videos, but some of the on-demand streams can be up to 12/14 hours long. When I come to skip through them (say +1hr) the player appears to completely freeze (no buffering dialog) and I can no longer seek at all. Play/Pause does nothing, and pressing Stop freezes the whole of Kodi (if I don’t press stop I can escape to the menus, but trying to play any more media similarly freezes the whole thing).

I’ve had a look in the debug log and it looks like curl is downloading the right bits of the stream (the +1hr bit) but this is never finding it’s way to the GUI/player. No idea why this might be!

I don’t have the MP2 or VC-1 licenses, but the codec it’s using is mmal-h264 (HW) so I don’t think this is the issue?

EDIT: Just noticed I copied the wrong log - it does show the problem but I also played another video beforehand, sorry about the clutter

TIA!

Hi,

OSMC has its own paste-bin, which would make the log easier to read; half the text on yours is disappearing into background:

From what I can make out from log, it looks like an issue with the plugin. I would see if this is update available for the plugin or ask the developer for support.

Thanks Tom.
