Playing some NES games within KODI preferably using USB game pads

How I can emulate some NES ROMs I have from within KODI? I remember reading an article somewhere doing it in a command line one-liner, but I couldn’t find it now :(. And about Game Pads. What are the things I should check before buying them (yeah, I want two of them)?

Noob here! No experience with RetroPie! Anyway, what about adding controllers? (I will try it this weekend (I have an unresolved WiFi issue, so ssh need a little preparation), will it slow my OSMC down?,)

Follow that guide to begin with and no it wont slow down OSMC.
