Having a few issues with drives not spinning up or seek not completing leading to the UI hanging. I suspect my powered hub may be on its last legs as all the drives are coming back clean from fsck. Just looking at the one you have in the store and wanted to check it could power 4x usb external drives without issue.

4x USB drives would need a stronger PSU than the one supplied.
If attaching that many drives I would consider an enclosure based solution

Yep, I guess that may be the route although they do seem pricey. See what Santa brings I guess.

I don’t think hanging four USBs off a hub is the best solution and wouldn’t want to do you a disservice by selling the hub as such.
DAS or NAS at that stage. And before you know it, you will be on five drives or six drives…
