Problem file

I use my Vero 4k+ for all media playing. I still have Servioo on my Samsung TV from before I bought the vero. I have a group of files that the Vero does not like (video lags way behind the audio).

To my suprise Servioo plays it perfectly. Its not a problem as I can use Servioo fine, but below is media info if it helps find the issue.

This is going to the problem. It looks like a questionable rip given the frame rates

Thanks, will continue to use Servioo, assuming its less clever but works via dumb luck.

You might try just running them through mkvtoolnixgui for a quick remux which can sometimes help out some of these bad rips. The Vero still won’t like the variable frame rate, but running them through handbrake to make them constant frame rate isn’t something that one can pull off in a couple seconds like is the case with a remux.

Thanks very quick test seems to show that works. Will update later if its not the case.

My experience is that it sometimes works, so worth a shot as it doesn’t degrade quality and is very fast. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for it being a magic fix for every bad rip though.
