I have bought a new WD My book 4TB and copied a couple of videos on it. It gets detected by vero 4k, it can play videos but along the way, especially in longer videos the image starts to freeze up/recover(or not) up to a point where the whole system freezes with a blue, green or black screen and has to be restarted in order to continue to view the selected video. The problem seems to be bigger on higher resolution files but it happens on every format. The file format of the drive is exFat, I left it default. Any tips how can I work around this problem? Or maybe there is a problem with the system?
To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.
Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:
enable debug logging at settings->system->logging
reboot the OSMC device twice(!)
reproduce the issue
upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A
publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.
Hello thanks for the detailed explanation. I have enabled debugging, restarted 2 times, opened a video file that played for aprox 3 minutes until the first image freeze. That problem would repeat more and more until the image would be frozen of a certain color(blue green etc). After the first freeze I have uploaded the debug info and got the following link:
