I’ve installed OSMC on my raspberrypi and I’m having problem reading files from a USB external key.
The key could not be mounted automatically and the sistem is constantly warning me that the key was removed safely. his happens with any USB key, I have tried three of them
What can I do?
Have you tried by connecting the key via a powered hub? Are you seeing a small rainbow colored square in the upper right corner at any time?
Yes connecting to a direct power suply is better. I have it connected directly to a TV
This is exactly why it will never be recommended to power the pi by USB from the TV.
