Problem with 3D mvc since KODI 17

Since the update i’ve been unable to play mvc 3D mkv videos correctly which have been reencoded from a Blu-ray. I used Makemkv -> tsmuxer to demux -> Frimencoder -> Mkvtoolnix remux. They used to play before the update although i did have to put 3d.sbs in the file name to force ‘something’ even though they wern’t side by side. I’ve also set the stereo ‘mode 13’ correctly in the mkv.

The TV switches to 3D but the picture now seems to be made up of the of the 2 views stretched twice the TV width with one view aligned to the left side of the screen and the other view to the right. Strangely enough if i take a MKV (3d mvc) directly from the blu-ray without re-encoding it plays fine. I know this might be an encoder issue but i thought i’d check here as it used to work fine with the provious OSMC version.

We need logs and mediainfo on the file please.

Hi. I’ve uploaded the logs here

The mediainfo text from a file that will play ok (direct from makemkv) is here

The mediainfo text from a reencode is here

Using the encoder i’ve tried to match the settings of the original (profile, mode,GOP etc). One thing i couldn’t seem to change was reframes but i’m not sure this would make a difference as most of the other settings i changed didn’t

I seem to remember a while back i changed the skin to something other an confluence but it broke the 3d MVC playing. When i changed it back it worked. I’ve tried changing the skin in KODI 17 to confluence but it didn’t work.

It must be something to do with the 3D mkv muxing as if i remux them to a .ts or .m2ts they play fine. Which i’ve now done to my 3D films

Do the films that play correctly have the same info reported here:

Format profile : Stereo High@L4.1 / High@L4.1
MultiView_Count : 2
MultiView_Layout : Both Eyes laced in one block (left eye first)
