Problems playing Video with AAC soundtrack

Was this ever resolved in any way? I have the same issue on a Vero4k(non+). I am trying to play Babylon Berlin S02E01 from German public television. I don’t know if this works outside Germany, but it can be legally downloaded
here

Some media info:

The picture is clearly not running smoothly and lags behind audio.

It does not matter how the video is provided, I tried USB stick and Emby-next-gen. Other videos are running just fine, even with higher bit rate.

Simply recoding video and and changing container with

ffmpeg -i Babylon_Berlin_S02E01.mp4 -c:a copy -c:v libx264 -crf 22 Babylon_Berlin_
S02E01.mkv

does not work, the problem persists.

Hardware is a Hisense TV, directly connected via HDMI.

Update: This still happens when playing said video via the “ARD Mediathek” addon from the official Kodi repository.

This issue is 4 years old and highly unlikely to be the same.

You need to provide debug enabled logs to get any meaningful assistance.

@elcaron1 I moved your post to a new topic.

I can play that series here without any issue. Do you only have the Issue with S02E01 or any others?

As @ActionA wrote debug enabled logs might give a clue

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here

Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.

Sorry, it didn’t occure to me that date would be cut, so I thought this was the 18th of Feb , so at least a bit more recent

Anyway, for privacy reasons, I wanted to make a full reset of my box, after which there was also an update. The problem seems to be gone now.
Pity we can’t find out what it was anyway, but on the other hand saves all of us some time.

Thanks everyone.
