Question re local file handling and flagging

I am contemplating purchasing the Vero V.

This might sound like a silly question, but when you have watched a program (on a local HDD), does that then show as having been watched? And if you partially watch something, does it resume from the point where you left it? (I have a ROKU device to watch stuff from a HDD. Unlike other Android boxes and media players, it does not flag a program as watched. Pain in the neck, hence my question)
