Quick Q about audio when connected to HT reciever

Are there any settings that can affect the quality of the audio?

I’m troubleshooting bad sound i’m getting with a new system connected to the v4k.

I highly, highly doubt it has anything to do with the V4k, the receiver confirms its getting DTS-HD/True HD dolby etc, i just want to check i haven’t missed something obvious, been pulling my hair out for a week.
