I need to enter the EuroSign because its part of a password,
I dont find it on the screen and the keyboard (even after setting it to german) wont produce it.
Any ideas?

On my german keyboard the EuroSign is with AltGr e
Have you set your keyboard layout properly in Kodi in the international settings ?
Yes in Kodi the keyboard is witched to german,
when I leave Kodi / in terminal-mode: the keyboard layout is still “default” = english
