ok, ran the installer, downloader the AUG update, 3 entries onto a micro-SD card, installer says success.
Re-booted device with card inserted, same error as 1st post:
Hi Malcolm,
Following up and apologies for delays.
Your case is interesting and I want to check a couple of things.
Firstly, your remote seems to be detected just fine in the logs, so the internal USB port is operating as expected.

So let’s look at the remote.
My understanding is that you have a Vero 4K + device as well. Can you make sure you have not mixed these remotes up? They are not backwards compatible.
Can you check if a light appears on the remote when you press a button? If so, can you confirm if it’s a short flash vs a long flash. Assuming your 4K+ is still in use, you could compare the LED flash to get an understanding of short vs long flash.
Lastly, can you try re-pairing the remote by holding the Home and OK buttons on your remote for a few seconds? After a successful pairing, the remote LED should blink.
From your post history, it looks like you were discussing upgrading from Vero 4K/4K+ in March 2025. I found your January 2023 order for a Vero 4K + but couldn’t find a Vero V order tied to the same email. Do let me know your order number. This would give you plenty of warranty and we will get things sorted for you, but before going down that route I’d like to cover the above to make sure we haven’t missed anything obvious.
Cheers
Sam
Hi Sam - ok, things seem to be getting confused, possibly due to 2 threads active. As I explained in the other thread, both the internal & USB ports are non-responsive, so I had to relocate the internal dongle to the only responding port, ie USB2 external. That’s why the log shows it as responding. I’m trying to do a re-install of the s/w to see whether it restores functionality to the failed ports. Also, my unit was not bought directly from yourselves, hence the lack of order # for the V.
If it helps I can confirm I have a Vero V and the remote in question is the one that came with it (Never changed).
Right, that explains things, was scratching my head a bit there.
Thank you for clarifying.
If you bought from a reseller (looks like you took delivery around March 25), then I’d just take it up with them. It will then be sent back to us but they should issue you a replacement. If you do, I’ll turn a blind eye to the fact that you opened it, but in future please let us troubleshoot first.
