Hi,
I’m using OSMC for quite some time already. Excellent environment. But one thing that I don’t seem to understand is the fact that is not that easy to uninstall some part of the test that I made on Linux as it is on Windows.
So, not anyone’s fault but me, can I reinstall the whole system from within? I mean, I want to wipe out, reinstall everything, without dismantle it. Is it possible like to boot from a USB, format the SD card and re image it? If so, any directions how to do it?
Or simply is a big creativity leap from me and should I just do it from the way it supposed to be done?
Thanks,
Hi,
On what device are you running osmc?
If it’s vero4k: Reinstalling OSMC - Vero 4K - OSMC
Regards Tom
Or if your actually just talking about just all of Kodi’s information and not actually the entire operating system…
NOTE: This will irrevocably erase all of you Kodi settings and configuration.
Enter the following commands with an SSH connection.
systemctl stop mediacenter
rm -r ~/kodi
systemctl start mediacenter
Thank you Darwin.
Actually I was meant the whole operating system. Because I try to get a RSS feed to work, flexget was my choice and doesn’t work. A few packages didn’t get installed.
So, since it was a new installation and was running quite smoothly, I though to re do everything.
Thanks for the commands, I save them because it may be useful in the future.
