Im just about to do a fresh OSMC install on a RPi2 and just checking whether the Realtek RTL8811AU is still unsupported by OSMC?

The status of Realtek driver support has not changed with the last couple updates.

The RTL8811AU support should come as part of the RTL8812AU driver which will be added in the next major kernel update for RBP.
