It looks like this is also causing your other issues reported on the other thread.
Typical that I would get the log to work with a file that no longer exists on my NAS!
I will test again with a file I know is valid and has worked before.
BTW the 7.1 issue happens to all 7.1 files and they do play if the Kodi is set to 5.1. I will still try convert to fstab though as it makes sense.
Here is my log of what I believe to be the same error. Upon trying to play a video file from USB drive, Kodi shows ‘Buffering’ in the top right. After a while it appears to play in the background (play time is displayed in the top right), but no audio/video plays.
Rebooting fixes the error.
Thanks!

Hi,
23:04:21.357 T:4080751184 NOTICE: Disabled debug logging due to GUI setting. Level 0.
Unfortunately these are are not debug logs, I can see an issue:
05:57:26.226 T:2978403072 ERROR: CAMLCodec::OpenAmlVideo - cannot open V4L amlvideo device /dev/video10: Device or resource busy
05:57:26.226 T:2978403072 ERROR: CAMLCodec::OpenDecoder - cannot open amlvideo device
With out debug logs its hard to diagnose whats causing the issue, please try and reproduce with debug logs enabled.
Thanks Tom.
I managed a clean capture this time. The log has been uploaded via OSMC. I deleted a file from my library then rediscovered it. I then had the 'buffering" and “playing” messages but the menu remained and no video played. That was at 19:37 in the log. I then rebooted. The movie now plays correctly.
Hi,
When you uploaded the logs, you would have been given an URL, please post it here.
Thanks Tom.
Hi Tom,
Using MyOSMC did not give me any URL (I’ve tried it twice). However it has worked via CLI:
osmc@osmc:~/.kodi/temp$ grab-logs -A
Logs successfully uploaded.
Logs available at https://paste.osmc.tv/kalufefofa
The newer log also shows that the movie chosen as my guinea-pig (Dunkirk) was successfully loaded and played at 19:51 after the reboot of 19:41
Hi Tom, here’s another log from me with (I hope) logging settings correct. This time the error occurred when resuming a video file I had previously half watched.
Thanks!

Is indeed the issue.
I would recommend reinstalling OSMC fresh.
Thank you, I will try reinstalling and report back.
In my case, the problem seems to be related to the Kodi Spotify addon - adding it to a fresh install brought the problem back, and since uninstalling it the issue hasn’t occurred again.
