Just did, pulled the mains plug out for a few minuites that does it. I also have the settings backec up top a USB as well if needed.
AFAIK most modern Denon AVR’s have a soft reset procedure. Power cycling and soft reset are not the same thing.
Its getting worse, the work arounds of Reboot and play in file mode are now very sporadic. I suspect its a hardware issue, may be on the way out.
I tried the update via my osmc it gave an update error message and hung at 77%, can I do it from a USB stick ?

May (??) be getting there. As the problem was gettings worse, it ‘smelt’ more like hardware than software. I have an HDMI Matrix switch that I use, had it for much longer than the problem has existed, but took it out of the system. Its a small sample size and needs longer to test but it SEEMS (?) that that may be the route cause.
Pain in the ar** connection wise, but better a £40 switch or a £150 Vero or £3000 amp that is on the blink.
