my old mediaportal TV Recording setup is on its last legs and i’ve purchased a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Connect Duo 2-Tuner Gen5 2018 Freeview Model to integrate with Kodi.
All i want to do is basic PVR.
Has anyone got any recommendations around headend software / addon combo?

I haven’t used it, but I’m pretty sure TVHeadend (which you can install on the Vero 4K from the OSMC app store) supports that tuner. I use NextPVR for my DVR backend with a different SiliconDust HDHomeRun tuner, and it’s a pretty easy setup, but NextPVR only runs on Windows, so you’d need another machine to do that. With TVHeadEnd and an external drive on the Vero 4K you’d have a pretty complete solution with fewer machines.
I have a HD Homerun Quattro and use it with TVH on a Raspberry Pi 3 running OSMC. The setup is a breeze. You won’t get EPG data natively but you can easily set that up too. The TVH software automatically recognized by HD Homerun device and set it up.
