Refresh rate switch vero4k+

Hi,

I think after the last updates from october I have a problem when playing any kind of videos.

It does not matter whether I play videos via addon, PVR or just a file. After about 3-4 seconds the refresh rate is switched. I set refresh rate switch in player settings to start/stop and delay after change in system to 0.5 seconds.

One vero4k+ is working with 1920x1080p@60Hz, the other with 3840x2160@60Hz.
Both switch after 3-4 seconds.

Any help would be nice.

Stephan

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here

Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.

Try without the whitelist and see if that helps.

It is the same.

I still see the whitelist in the logs. Try with no resolutions whitelisted. (Rebooting twice after changing the whitelist will help clean the logs)

Not related, but your logs are full of messages from vuplus and Enigma2. If you could, turn that off so the logs are easier to read.

enigma2 plugin disabled

whitelist not saved …

You still haven’t turned off the whitelist. You need to de-select every resolution in the whitelist.

Now without whitelist hopefully…

And did the problem go away???

(Thank you for turning off the pvr, logs are much easier to look through now!)

No, not with this source…

From osmc:
NOTICE: Whitelist search for: width: 1280, height: 720, fps: 24.390, 3D: false
NOTICE: Display resolution ADJUST : 1920x1080 @ 60.00 - Full Screen (16) (weight: 0.053)
NOTICE: Whitelist search for: width: 1280, height: 720, fps: 23.976, 3D: false
NOTICE: Display resolution ADJUST : 1920x1080 @ 23.98 - Full Screen (23) (weight: 0.016)

Mediainfo says:
Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS
Original frame rate : 24.390 FPS

I assume source and perhaps not perfect handling of original frame rate.

Weird.
