Reinstall again

If I wanted to reinstall my OS again ('cos I installed some software and repo certs I don’t want, and its easier for me to start from scratch) … are these instructions still valid Reinstalling OSMC - Vero 4K - OSMC ?.. my device keeps booting to OSMC / Kodi…no sign of reinstall option like last night when my OS failed out of box.

I see a boot screen called ‘Please Stand By’ … perhaps I need to execute a keystroke or something to enter boot menu?

I’ve tried renaming kernel.img to recovery.img to no avail. The 4K+ doesn’t seem to have a small toothpick hole (unless I’m blind) as per the guide above, which might be for Vero 3 or 4K.

How might one start from scratch if OS is still booting OK? Do I need to corrupt OS or so something via SSH to jolt OSMC back to recovery mode.

The switch is within the 3.5mm headphone jack

Well if all your changes are only in Kodi (you never know what the repos have) done. You might just remove all Kodi config by:

sudo systemctl stop mediacenter
mv .kodi .kodi_backup
sudo systemctl start mediacenter
