Reinstall fail

My OSMC build on a Pi3 crashed on me a few days ago and during boot it said I needed to reinstall. I put the SD card in my computer and ran the osmc installer but it keeps failing. Here is my log file.

I tried downloading the image to my hard drive and using that this last time but it’s the same error message.

Check the SD Card with H2testw before trying a reinstall
I guess your SD Card is broken (became write only)

thanks for the tip. I have done that but it’s only checking the recovery partition and I can’t get it to see the whole card.

I did run diskpart to clear any readonly attributes but I wasn’t aware that a damaged card could physically be stuck in readonly so thanks for teaching me something.

That is normally how SD Cards act when they fail. Either totally death or just go readonly.

thanks for your assistance. I knew I should have just ordered a new card over the weekend. It would have been here by now and I’d have had it running.

again thank you for your speedy advice.
